B\u00f6sigk aus dem Jahre 1857:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-center is-style-plain is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8222;<span style=\"color: #000000;\">Wenn man aus dem Bergst\u00e4dtchen Glash\u00fctte bei dem Huthhause des alten Grubengeb\u00e4udes Hohe Birke vorbei nach Dippoldiswalda geht, f\u00fchrt aus dem nach Lugau sich hinaufziehenden engen Thale rechts ein Weg durch die Felder \u00fcber die H\u00f6he nach Cunnersdorf zu. In diesem Wege steht ein gro\u00dfes steinernes Kreuz, allgemein dort unter dem Namen &#8222;Wittigs Kreuz&#8220; bekannt. Es lag vor drei\u00dfig Jahren umgest\u00fcrzt, ist aber jetzt wieder aufgerichtet. Es geht die Sage, da\u00df ein Raubritter Wittig, nach welchem ein unter Glash\u00fctte nach Wesenstein zu im M\u00fcglitzthale liegender steiler Felsvorsprung noch heute &#8222;Wittig&#8217;s Raubschlo\u00df&#8220; genannt wird, an dieser Stelle von einem benachbarten Ritter, Walz von Bernstein, mit der Armbrust erschossen worden sei. Er lies sich aber nicht darauf ein.
